Having a safe space to share your story is imperative to your healing, and being able to talk to someone can do more than you could possibly imagine, whether a friend or trusted loved one, or a trauma-informed coach or therapist. Why? Because when we’re not seen, not heard, and not believed, how could we possibly feel safe enough to heal, when now, we’re questioning ourselves?
Was it really that bad? Am I exaggerating or being a baby? Why can’t I just let that go? Have you heard these comments when sharing with someone you realized was not safe? It happens all too often.
When it comes to healing trauma, the only opinion that matters is yours – if it traumatized you it was trauma. If it’s still bothering you, and triggering you then it might be time to address it.
I empower my coaching clients by teaching them what is happening in their nervous system after trauma, and teach somatic practices to help move the energy. I never force people to talk about anything they don’t want to discuss, because they already know what happened. So does their body.
If you want to learn about the nervous system, somatics, and how to manage your stress and past trauma, I’d love to guide you. I have several FREE courses on my website, www.healingmatters.co if you’d like to begin.
If you’re in overwhelm, you don’t have to stay there. I’d love to talk.
Your Healing Matters, because you matter.
